In response to World Environment Day on June 5, 2026, Ricons launched a used battery collection and gift exchange programme under the theme “Collect Used Batteries – Keep the Earth Green 2026.” Taking place from June 1 to June 5, 2026, the programme aimed to promote the message of “Joining Hands to Protect the Earth” while raising environmental awareness among all employees.

Right after its launch, the activity received enthusiastic participation from employees across departments and the sites. Small used batteries were collected, sorted and sent to the program, reflecting the collective effort of Ricons employees in reducing hazardous waste and contributing to the protection of our living environment.
To add more excitement to the “green battery collection” journey, Ricons prepared a range of lovely gifts for participating employees. Each gift not only brought a small joy, but also helped encourage green habits in daily life.

By the end of the programme, more than 5,000 used batteries had been collected. All collected batteries will be transferred by Ricons to a qualified treatment unit for proper handling, ensuring compliance with regulations and environmental safety.
Beyond its business operations, Ricons remains committed to fulfilling its responsibilities to the community and the environment. As one of our annual environmental activities, “Collect Used Batteries – Keep the Earth Green” continues to encourage every employee to start with small actions and join hands in protecting a greener Earth.
