RICONS RESPONDED TO THE ACTION MONTH FOR OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH 2025

09/06/2025

In May 2025, in response to the Action Month for Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), the Ricons Safety Department launched a series of practical initiatives across construction sites nationwide. This annual campaign played an important role in raising awareness and promoting compliance with OSH regulations, while effectively preventing occupational risks in the construction environment.

With the year’s theme issued by the Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs: “Enhancing hazard identification and risk assessment, and proactively implementing occupational safety and health measures in the workplace”, Ricons focused on implementing solutions to cope with extreme heat and maintaining safe, green, and clean construction sites.

Throughout the Action Month, Ricons sites carried out several meaningful programs to safeguard workers’ health and well-being. One highlight was the campaign “Refreshing Lemon Tea – Beat the Heat”, which provided free chilled lemon drinks at active construction areas to replenish electrolytes and prevent heat-related illness. In addition, wide-brimmed sun hats were distributed to outdoor workers to reduce direct sun exposure and enhance working comfort.

On-site training sessions on first aid for heatstroke and heat exhaustion were conducted to equip workers with the skills to promptly recognize and respond to heat-related emergencies. Periodic safety training sessions were also maintained, helping to reinforce awareness and safe practices among all staff and workers.

The weekly Green Day initiative continued to be actively implemented during the month, encouraging teams to participate in cleaning activities that contributed to tidier, more organized, and safer job sites. These efforts not only improved site appearance but also helped foster a disciplined and professional working environment across Ricons projects.

Through this series of initiatives during the OSH Action Month 2025, Ricons once again reaffirmed its commitment to building a safe, humane, and sustainable work environment, placing people at the center of every strategic direction. The proactive approach to risk prevention and care for workers’ well-being laid a strong foundation for Ricons to move forward in its mission to “reshape Vietnam’s construction landscape with dedication and responsibility”.
