On July 31, 2025, Ricons, in collaboration with the developer Becamex Tokyu (a subsidiary of Japan’s Tokyu Corporation), hosted the commencement ceremony for the “SORA gardens III” project – the first large-scale development in the heart of Binh Duong, an area within the expanded Ho Chi Minh City following its merger with Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province.
The ceremony took place in a solemn atmosphere with the presence of the Consul General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City; representatives of local government authorities; international cooperation agencies; and numerous strategic partners – reflecting strong commitment to creating a new standard of living in the central area of Binh Duong Ward – Ho Chi Minh City – part of the Southern Key Economic Region.
Located within a mixed-use complex of residential, commercial, and service facilities in central Binh Duong Ward, SORA gardens III marked the next phase in the premium SORA gardens apartment series. The project was developed on a site of over 14,000 m², comprising four towers of 39 floors, offering a total of 1,074 apartments ranging from one to four bedrooms. The podium integrated more than 4,000 m² of retail space, two rooftop infinity pools, and a diverse range of amenities, delivering a comfortable, modern, and high-quality living experience.
Beyond its impressive scale and sophisticated design, SORA gardens III led the way in adopting sustainable and eco-friendly construction solutions. The development was equipped with a solar energy system and a mechanism to reuse air-conditioning condensate for landscape irrigation, optimizing energy efficiency and protecting the urban ecosystem.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Fujiwara Hirohisa, Senior Executive Officer of Tokyu Corporation, shared:
“SORA gardens III is a new symbol of the future, strategically located at the gateway to the Binh Duong Industrial–Service–Urban Complex. We expected this project to bring new values and vitality to the city. SORA III would become a source of pride for the community and a symbol of the area’s growth.”
On behalf of Ricons, Mr. Tran Quang Quan, General Director, stated:
“As one of Vietnam’s leading construction contractors with over 20 years of experience, particularly in high-rise building projects, Ricons was honored to be entrusted by Tokyu Corporation for this prestigious collaboration. SORA gardens III stood out for its large scale, sophisticated design, environmental friendliness, and status as an iconic landmark of the new city.”
The commencement of SORA gardens III marked a significant milestone in the strong partnership between Becamex Tokyu and Ricons, contributing to the development of a modern, comfortable, and sustainable new urban area while reinforcing Ricons’ pioneering position in Vietnam’s construction industry.
