On the afternoon of September 24, 2024, during a working visit to Đong Nai Province, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh inspected and expedited the progress of Phase 1 of the Long Thanh International Airport project. This marked the fourth time the Prime Minister personally visited the site. He emphasized that this is a landmark project of the current government term and called for a 450-day campaign to ensure the project’s substantial completion by December 31, 2025, ahead of the original schedule set for 2026.
At the meeting, the Prime Minister commended the efforts of the investor—Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation, contractors, construction units, consulting firms, and over 6,000 professionals, including experts, engineers, architects, and workers. He praised their dedication, as they “braved the sun, overcame the rain and storms,” “worked in shifts around the clock,” and “worked through holidays and weekends” to accelerate the construction progress and complete key components ahead of schedule.
Long Thanh International Airport project is the largest airport project in Vietnam to date and holds significant importance for the socio-economic development of both the Southeastern region and the entire country. After more than a year of construction, the project’s form has gradually taken shape, delivering optimistic results and instilling confidence in its successful completion, Prime Minister noted.
Ricons, in partnership with Vietur, is committed to continuing the remaining phases of the project with the utmost determination, relentless effort, and a decisive focus on meeting the objectives set forth by the Prime Minister.
